1. Business Invitation letter from host organisation + Inviting company registration certificate copy / Conference registration details
2. Accommodation proof
3. A letter from your employer stating why you are visiting
4. Your plans for your stay and details of your Australian business contacts
5. Proof of your current employment and professional qualifications
6. Evidence your company is an active business, such as an annual report
7. Evidence of prior contact with Australian businesses
8. Financial documents
IF EMPLOYED
1. Employment letter
2. Leave sanction letter
3. IT papers for the last three years
4. Salary slips of recent three months
5. Salary receiving bank statement- 3 months updated
IF SELF-EMPLOYED
1. Company registration certificate/ Partnership deed / memorandum and articles of Association
2. Bank statements
3. IT Returns- last 3 years
4. Blank letter heads (for self-covering letter)
IF RETIRED
1. Pension Payment Order + Three months updated bank statements
IF STUDENT
1. bonafide letter from school/college with travel permission.
IF THERE IS INVITER IN AUSTRALIA:
DOCUMENTS FROM SPONSOR
1. Invitation letter addressed To The Visa Officer, Australian High Commission, New Delhi.
2. Passport copies of sponsor including visa pages (If Australian citizen- Australian Passport copy+ OCI/cancelled Indian Passport copy)
3. Letter of employment / Salary slips-recent 3 months
4. Copy of Utility bill – latest month for address proof
5. Bank statements- 3 months updated with sufficient balance.
IF NO SPONSOR : Hotel Voucher + Day to day tour itinerary – internal travel arrangements

Processing time approx.: 1 month or more (may vary)
Upto 3 months stay – medical is not required. (According to age it may varies)
More than 3 months- applicant has to go for medicals in KIMS Hospital , Trivandrum or ND Diagnostics India Pvt. Ltd , Ernakulam
Australian High Commission may ask for Travel insurance (Mandatory for applicants over 75 years)
